The Key to Long Term Fat Loss!

You’ve probably heard the usual stuff before - Caloric deficit.  Count macros.  Exercise a bunch.  Get sleep.  Drink water.  Etc.  Etc.  Etc.

Yes, those are all important.  Actually, VERY important!  All of them!

BUT, what I see happen frequently is that newbies are dialed in while things are still exciting, but then they have that first big screw-up where they go bazzerko and shove every piece of food they can find into their mouth (I’m raising my hand too)!

This throws them into a deep and dark dungeon of shame, regret, and feeling like a failure AGAIN!  Often times, folks stay down in the dungeon for days, weeks, months, and even years!  Since they already screwed up, might as well eat a huge bag of sour cream and onion chips along with a ½ gallon tub of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream (I’ve been there too)!

The thing I’m going to highlight here is to not allow one mistake (no matter how big) turn into ANOTHER, and ANOTHER, and ANOTHER!  Before they know it, they are like a turtle on their back and paralyzed – completely unable to get up and reset. THE ABILITY TO NOT QUIT, BOUNCE BACK, AND GET RIGHT BACK ON THE WAGON QUICKLY IS CRUCIAL TO YOUR SUCCESS!

In Larger Than Life, we call that Confess, Reassess, and Recommit (CRR).  The better we get at CRR, the quicker we can get back on the bandwagon so we can continue chasing our goals.  I don’t think we ever get to a point where we stop making mistakes, we just get better at minimizing the time it takes to get back on the train and begin WINNING EACH DAY!  Small daily habits that allow us to WIN EACH DAY is a recipe to dominate life over the long haul.
